Arts Legal Clinic
Artists and arts professionals are welcome to make a 30-minute appointment to meet with an attorney who specializes in arts and entertainment law. They may discuss topics such as copyright or trademark and other intellectual property topics, contract review and non-profit issues.
This year, clinics will be offered in Seattle at Seattle University School of Law and the University of Washington School of Law, in Spokane at Gonzaga University School of Law, in Edmonds at ArtWorks and in Everett at the Arts Council of Snohomish County, as part of WLA’s Arts Legal Clinic expansion efforts.
Seattle Arts Legal Clinic
When - Artists: 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
When - Nonprofit Arts Organizations: Between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of odd-numbered months.
Where: University of Washington School of Law, Seattle, Washington (May through August 2008);
Seattle University School of Law, Seattle, Washington (September 2008 through April 2009).
Cost: A $20 donation is suggested to defray WLA’s overhead expenses, like internet access and phone service. This donation is not tax-deductible.

Spokane Arts Legal Clinic
When: Check back soon for 2008 dates!
Where: Gonzaga University School of Law, 721 N Cincinnati St, Spokane, WA 99220-3528. Directions will be provided upon the scheduling of appointments.
